Behind What! Summer Camp are Henrik Windstedt, one othe worlds best freeskiers and David Kantermo, also a great freeskier and a former Head Coach for the Norwegian and Swedish Freestyle Ski Team. The camp offers great riding in one of of Europe’s greatest parks at the glacier of Folgefonna in Norway.
What! Summer Camp 2020 is set to these weeks:
Week 1 June 15-20
Week 2 June 21-26
WHAT! Summer Camp is a camp for all ski and snowboard lovers from age 11 and up. Both girls and boys, kids and grown up’s are welcome! The average age of our campers is mainly around 12-16 but we always have both younger ones and older ones. Most participants are from Norway and Sweden but we have had campers from all over the world during the years. As the skills and ages of our campers vary a lot we have the possibility to have different groups adapted to different needs. Some will practice their first 180 as other will nail their firt double flip. All levels are represented at What! Summer Camp.
We are very proud to have our great coaches: Niklas Eriksson, Oscar Wester, Johan Berg and Emil Granbom among others. Ofcourse Henrik Windstedt and David Kantermo will be coaching as well.
Off slope there are a bunch of great activities to take on: Water ramp skiing, trampolines, summer rail arena, beach volleyball, cliff jumping into the great fjord of Folgefonna, football tournaments, skateboarding and much more. We are now proud to present our new Activity house. We have already a giant skaeboard bowl and a nice hang out area with pool, ping-pong etc. And there is more to come!
WHAT! Summer Camp is a 100% drug free camp. No tolerens at all for use of alcohol or cigarettes.
Arrival day week 1 is Monday, and departure day is Saturday. Week 2 arrival day is Sunday and departure day Friday. As many campers arrives and leaves at different times there are no scheduled acitivities or skiing these days. The rest of the week is full of shredding and activites! You can book a tranfer bus from and to the airport through us, this is not included in the price but offered to an affordable price, more info to come shortly. There will be What! personel at the airport from 2 pm to meet all arriving campers! Important info for all that travel by plane: You can arrive no later than 4.15 pm as the shuttle need to leave 4.45 to be able to get to the ferry to Jondal in time. Departure days your flight can not leave before noon as we can not make it to the airport very early. We are not accepting that campers under 12 travel alone if assistance is needed. This as we can not offer the service to pick up and leave at a specific time. We are working on getting buses from Stockholm and Oslo, more info will come shortly.
The price is 6450 nok.
The price includes:
– Accomondation at Jondal Gjestetun, Sheets and towel are provided.

A typical day at What! Summer Camp
08:00-09:00 Wake up and have a good and healthy breakfast 🙂
09:00 Team up with your buddies and leave with the coaches for the glacier
10:00-15:00 Go through the park and check out some awesome features . Ride as much as you want and ask the coaches for tips. There could also be a small rail or a spinn-to-win contest with great prizes.
Lunch break around 12.00
15:00 Bus back to Jondal
16:00-22:00 Enjoy camp life! Water ramp sessions are provided almost every day. Go play some beach volley ball, skate the new bowl or jump some trampoline.
19:00 Dinner at the Gjestetun. If it’s sunny and warm we can enjoy Brano”s big BBQ on Wednesday’s and Saturday”s.
For those of you who doesn’t want to ride every day you could always stay down in the village and do other activities 🙂
