Arrival days for 2013 are Monday’s and departure days are Sunday’s.

IMPORTANT!

As there is a ferry to Fonna you can not arrive or leave at all times if you chose to travel by plane. You have to be in Bergen  Airport no later than 16.30 the day of arrival and on the way home your flight can not leave before 12.00!!

ABOUT THE TRANSFER:

We offer a transfer bus that you can book separatley, this is not included in the price, but we will soon give you info about a affordable price. There will be a bus with room for 20-30 people depending on how many that book the transfer. Hopefully we can organize that you do not have to wait so long at the airport but as the trip to Jondal is over 2 hours we will have to wait for campers to arrive at different times so that we can fill up the bus. We will meet you at the airport and hang out with you, but we want you to be aware of that there can app two hours of waiting at the airport. Generally we can advise you to arrive around 1.30-3.30 pm and leave 2-4 pm if you can find flights to match these hours.

The closest airport is Bergen and there are still affordable tickets left from most destinations in Europe. Please check out www.norweigan.no We arrange pick up at the airport on all arrival days, as well as drop off the day you leave. The trip from the airport is app 1 1/2 hours.

If you arrive at other days for some reason there is a public bus as well. From Bergen you catch the bus to Norheimsund, and from Norheimsund you take the ferry to Herand. The ferry runs daily between 1 May to 30 September. From Herand you catch the Glacier/Ski Bus, runs daily between mid-June to mid-August, up to Folgefonna Glacier and the ski centre. Travel time from Bergen is by public transportation approximately 3 hours. Travel time between Herand and Folgefonna is approximately 50 minutes.
